Sometimes delivery doesn’t go according to your plan. San Ramon Regional Medical Center provides support services for children born with complications. We operate a Level II Special Care Nursery to meet the care needs of special infants. A neonatologist is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Babies usually enter the special care nursery after their birth, typically because they are born prematurely, show signs of a complication in the first few days of life or have difficulty during their delivery.
