Family Birthing Center of San Ramon Regional Medical Center
You and your baby are in good hands.
The goal at the Family Birthing Center at San Ramon Regional Medical Center is to deliver family-centered care as you welcome the newest member of your family. The Family Birthing Center offers all the amenities and staff necessary to make the experience the best possible, so that you feel safe and at home
Additional Family Birthing Center services include:
Each of the comfortable private birthing suites allows you to deliver and recover in a private room. The rooms are each equipped with an adjustable birthing bed and the medical equipment needed for the birth of your baby.
Pediatricians from UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland are here around the clock. If your personal pediatrician is unavailable, our in-hospital pediatricians provide care for your baby throughout your hospital stay. They attend births, monitor healthy newborns, and care for babies who require extra attention in our special care nursery.
Register for a tour of the Family Birthing Center to become familiar with the hospital before your delivery. A tour begins with an orientation to the Family Birthing Center, followed by a visit to the birthing suites, private rooms, and nursery. Call (800) 284-2878 for class and tour reservations or register online.
Breastfeeding is natural, but it is not always easy. Questions always arise, and when they do, we have experienced nurses available to answer them. Is this a proper latch? What are the benefits of breast milk? Is my baby getting enough milk? For these questions and countless others, our trained nursing staff offers answers, techniques and suggestions to help facilitate your breastfeeding success.
Infant security is a high priority here. The Family Birthing Center is kept locked, and all visitors are required to undergo screening. When you are admitted to the Family Birthing Center, we will inform you of our security procedures and provide you with the necessary information.
