Let our team of specialists take care of you
Our team of radiologists and technologists provide a range of quality imaging services. We use advanced technology and up-to-date procedures to provide your doctor with accurate, detailed information. After your imaging is completed, your doctor will
advise you on the results and discuss any further testing, procedures or treatment options with you.
A certified breast health navigator is also on site to provide education, support and expertise during your breast procedures.
Our imaging department is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is certified by the California Department of Public Health.
2D Mammography
Uses X-rays to visualize abnormalities in the breast tissue. This equipment is used to detect breast cancer as early as possible, which generally improves the effectiveness of treatment.
3D Mammography
3D mammography uses multiple low-dose images to create a 3-dimensional view of the breast. This procedure allows the doctor to examine the 3D breast layer by layer. Fine details are more clearly visible because they are no longer hidden by the tissue
above and below.
Breast Ultrasound
A breast ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, to assess the breast. It is commonly performed to determine if an abnormality detected by mammography or a palpable lump is fluid-filled (cyst) or a solid mass.
Breast Biopsy
A biopsy is a procedure which removes samples of breast tissue for examination by a pathologist under a microscope.
- Stereotactic biopsy utilizes small low dose X-rays to guide needle placement for removal of calcifications.
- Ultrasound-guided biopsy uses sound waves to guide the needle placement for the biopsy of a breast mass.
- Ductography is a special injection of X-ray dye into a breast to evaluate ducts.
- Wire-free radar localization system, uses safe, non-invasive, radar technology for precise guidance during surgery. The ability to strategically plan the incision may result in better cosmetic outcomes.
