Tests & Screenings

H2 Subtitle Phrase Receiving an accurate diagnosis is the first step in designing a treatment plan for your respiratory condition. At San Ramon Regional Medical Center, we offer a range of screenings and tests. Among them are:

Endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy

Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy (EBUS) is a procedure in which an ultrasound bronchoscopy tube is inserted through the mouth or nose into the lungs to obtain images.

Lung cancer screening

Although many helpful questionnaires and other tests are available, the only recommended screening test for lung cancer is the low-dose Computed Tomography (CT), in which the lungs are scanned for cancer-related changes.

Pulmonary function testing

Pulmonary Function Testing involves assessing the volume, capacity, flow rate and gas exchange of the lungs. It provides a portrait of lung function and can help diagnose some lung disorders.
