San Ramon Regional Medical Center Receives Maternity Award from CMQCC

May 26, 2022

The California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC) launched its Quality and Engagement Awards Program to recognize member hospitals that go above and beyond to provide California’s mothers, birthing people, and their families with the best start to life.

Currently, more than 200 California hospitals are active CMQCC members, using the agency’s Maternal Data Center to track maternity care performance and identify perinatal quality improvement opportunities. Recipients of a CMQCC Quality and Engagement Award are recognized for having the highest levels of engagement with the quality improvement tools and programs.

CMQCC is a nationally recognized maternal quality improvement group that focuses on improving hospital-based maternity care in California. CMQCC works collaboratively with stakeholders across the state to identify the key causes of maternal mortality and morbidity and, most importantly, develops tools to help hospitals improve maternal patient safety.

As a recipient of a Quality and Engagement Award, San Ramon Regional Medical Center is a part of a community of 200+ CMQCC member hospitals, accounting for 98% of California’s delivery volume.

San Ramon Regional Medical Center is proud to receive the following award:

Maternal Data Center (MDC) Superstar Award: Small Birth Volume Hospitals
SRRMC---MDC-Superstar-Award-2022-400-x-300

Awarded to hospitals with fewer than 1,000 annual births that exhibited high levels of engagement in the Maternal Data Center (MDC). For small hospitals, superstar status is defined as hospital personnel accessing the MDC at ≥300 points across 4 MDC utilization categories (Overall Login Counts, Supplemental Data Completeness, Hospital Report Views and Provider Report Views) during the prior calendar year.
