May 10, 2022

San Ramon, Calif. – May 10, 2022 – San Ramon Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Tracy Brannon, RN, has received the Florence Nightingale Award.

Tracy Brannon and colleagues“The Florence Nightingale Award is an incredible honor for a nurse to receive and pays tribute to nurses who have role modeled compassion, strength and resilience during these challenging times,” said Wendy Sirivar, Chief Nursing Officer at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. “Tracy is more than deserving of this award. She is truly committed to her patients and makes a difference every day at the hospital. Her love for the profession is unparalleled and we are so grateful to have her on our team.”

Tracy Brannon is a registered nurse in San Ramon Regional Medical Center’s Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). She is described by her colleagues as warm-hearted, caring and holds herself to a high standard. She inspires, collaborates and overcomes obstacles.

Tracy’s nomination reads, in part: “Tracy is a beautiful example of San Ramon Regional Medical Center fostering growth and allowing individual nurses to thrive within the walls. She has transitioned from the ICU to the Cath Lab, however, she continues to lend her advanced clinical skills and willingly assists in any department without ever a second thought. She places a high priority on delivery of nursing care to meet the individual needs of the patient. Her impact is felt on each nursing department she steps into and she is welcomed with open arms. She is the kind of nurse I would work with any day, any time, and the kind of nurse that I would want to take care of me any day, any time.”

San Ramon Regional Medical Center honors the Florence Nightingale Award winner each year during Nurses Week (May 6-12). More than 40 nominations were submitted this year, highlighting the many amazing nurses at the hospital.
