San Ramon Regional Medical Center Names Alice Jaimah-Hughes Employee of the Year

San Ramon, Calif. – San Ramon Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Alice Jaimah-Hughes has been named Employee of the Year for 2018.

Alice Jaimah HughesAlice has been an employee at the hospital for 25 years and works as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Medical-Surgical Unit. She was nominated by the director of the unit, Satveer Dhaliwal.

“It was my honor to nominate Alice, whose impact on the lives of others has left a lasting impression beyond the walls of San Ramon Regional Medical Center, and has filtered through the Tri-Valley community,” Dhaliwal expressed.

Colleagues say Alice is best known for her care and compassion, and the manner in which she delivers her nursing care to patients and their family members is heartwarming and unforgettable.

“Alice embodies what it means to be a caregiver, because she gives endless warmth, compassion, and care to every patient. She makes it her mission to help every patient and their loved ones feel supported and comforted in their times of need,” said Ann Lucena, CEO of San Ramon Regional Medical Center.

“I have had the privilege of seeing her in action each and every day, and recognize that her commitment in meeting individual patient needs never waivers,” Dhaliwal said. “I believe Alice was born to touch lives. She is truly one-of-a-kind and a wonderful example of an individual who goes above and beyond without a second thought.”

San Ramon Regional Medical Center recognizes Pillars of Excellence every month throughout the year. The Employee of the Year is then chosen from that group of Pillars. Alice was the August Pillars of Excellence Winner.

“She is a beautiful reminder for me each and every day, the powerful impact of human kindness,” Dhaliwal said. “I look forward to continuing to see patients at our hospital receive and rave about her personalized nursing care and seeing her positive impact on our community.”
