Hospital Administration Walks in Nursing Shoes for Nurses Week

Oct 1, 2019

NursesMay 6-12, 2019, is National Nurses Week, a time to spotlight nurses for the wonderful work they do every day for patients and their families. Nurses are an integral part of our community and San Ramon Regional Medical Center is celebrating its nurses throughout the week with special events.

The hospital’s Administration Team put on scrubs and walked in nursing shoes. They used the opportunity to understand and learn about the work nurses do every day. Hospital leaders visited numerous units including emergency, operating room, intensive care and birthing center.

“Nurses play an important role in our Community Built on Care. Every day, they provide compassionate, quality care to our patients,” said Wendy Sirivar, Chief Nursing Officer at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. “I am deeply grateful to our nurses and their commitment to the Tri-Valley community.”

San Ramon Regional Medical Center will also present one of its nurses with the Florence Nightingale Award as part of Nurses Week.

Other events include relaxation therapy, photo booth, nurse recognitions and breakfast served by the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
