The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued a state mandated public health order regarding visitation within all hospitals in California.

Effective Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, all visitors must show proof of full vaccination or provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of entering our facility. Visitors may use either PCR testing or antigen testing as proof.

Examples of acceptable documentation include a valid and complete CDC vaccination card or electronic copy or a valid and complete vaccination record from the state registry.

Visitors of end-of-life patients are exempt from the vaccination and testing requirements. In addition, the following visitors have a limited exemption from the vaccination or testing requirements:

  • Parent or guardian visitors of pediatric patients
  • Support persons for a labor and delivery patient
  • Support persons for a patient with physical, intellectual, developmental disability, or cognitive impairment are considered visitors who are visiting a patient in critical condition

As soon as reasonably possible, these visitors must comply with the vaccine verification or applicable testing requirements within 72 hours. They must still comply with other infection control and prevention requirements that apply to indoor visits.

Masks are still required for all visitors.

This state order is keeping with our commitment to providing a safe environment for our patients, visitors, employees and the people of the communities we serve.

Thank you for entrusting us with your healthcare needs. We wish you all the best on your path to continued health.

John Muir Health and San Ramon Regional Medical Center Open New Pleasanton Outpatient Center

Oct 1, 2019

SAN RAMON and WALNUT CREEK, Calif., December 16, 2015 — John Muir Health and San Ramon Regional Medical Center's new Pleasanton Outpatient Center opened this week at 5860 Owens Drive.

The center is located off Interstate 580, and is a short walk from the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station. Ample onsite parking is also available.

“At the Pleasanton Outpatient Center,  the Tri-Valley community can access a wide range of medical services – all in one convenient location,” said Paul Smith, chief executive officer of the joint venture between John Muir Health and Tenet Healthcare, which operates the Pleasanton Outpatient Center. “Our services are available to the entire community and we accept most insurance plans, which means even if you don’t have a doctor located at our center, you can use our services like the Urgent Care, lab and imaging.”

Health care providers and services available at the Pleasanton Outpatient Center include:

  • Primary Care (Internal and Family Medicine)
  • Pediatric Care
  • Specialty Care (Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiology and other specialties in 2016)
  • Urgent Care Services, available 7 days/week (9 a.m.- 9 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. on weekends and 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. on holidays)

  • Wellness Services
  • Access to MyJohnMuirHealth to securely manage your health online

The Pleasanton Outpatient Center’s design was driven by the needs of patients -- convenience, access, cost-effective care, service and quality. Patients can also use online tools through MyJohnMuirHealth to message their John Muir Health doctor, schedule appointments, view lab results, request prescription renewals, get diagnosed and treated using eVisits, and more.

“Through our partnership with San Ramon Regional Medical Center, we’re excited to provide the Tri-Valley community with expanded choices for high-quality, patient-centered care, close to home in a modern, healing environment,” said Lee Huskins, president and chief administrative officer of John Muir Health’s Physician Network. “Offering primary care physicians, specialists and care managers in one location enhances collaboration, knowledge sharing and care coordination, which allows us to partner with our patients to better manage their health.”

San Ramon Regional Medical Center and John Muir Health announced and completed their joint venture partnership in 2013. Through the partnership, John Muir Health acquired a 49 percent ownership interest in San Ramon Regional Medical Center.  As part of the agreement, John Muir Health and San Ramon Regional Medical Center are jointly developing outpatient services, such as the Pleasanton Outpatient Center, and other projects in the Tri-Valley area and nearby communities.
