One man in six will get prostate cancer during his lifetime. Today more than 90% of all prostate cancers are discovered while they are either localized (confined to the prostate) or regional (nearby).  The good news is that with early diagnosis, long-term prostate cancer cure rates for most men are highly successful.  And for some patients, they may even avoid aggressive treatment.

Our physicians will discuss advanced research on the risks, diagnosis, and treatments for prostate cancer. Learn about PSA tests, biopsies, watchful waiting (active surveillance), and advanced treatment options, including robotic and minimally invasive surgery, radiation treatment, and brachytherapy (radioactive seed implantation) now available at San Ramon Regional Medical Center.

All treatment options have risks and benefits. Only you and your doctor can determine the treatment path that is right for you. Our physicians will provide an overview of prostate cancer. Our physical therapist will discuss treatment for lymphedema.
