Welcome to the Advanced Wound Care Center at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Coping with chronic, non-healing wounds can be both frustrating and time-consuming, but expert care is available to help improve healing and your quality of life. At the Advanced Wound Care Center, we believe in comprehensive, compassionate care that focuses on an individualized treatment plan directed by doctors. We use state-of-the-art technologies, best-practice procedures, and a highly personalized touch to healing.
Advanced Wound Care – Because every patient’s wound is unique, you will have a thorough diagnostic exam to identify the type of wound you have and its underlying causes. We will design a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and the most effective approach. The plan may include:
Hypberbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) – To aid with healing, you may be referred for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. HBOT is a simple but effective treatment in which you breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The chamber has clear sides through which you can see your surroundings, and is in a comfortable treatment room equipped with TV and videos. The therapy quickly and safely delivers high concentrations of oxygen to your bloodstream, which helps increase your body’s own natural wound-healing abilities.
Ostomy Consultation – The program is designed to meet the needs of the active person with a new or existing colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy. Our specially trained wound care nurses meet with individuals and their families before and/or after surgery and continue to provide ongoing education and support. Some long term ostomy patients may benefit from counseling, fittings, updated appliances and other services.
Medicare and most insurance are accepted. A physician order is required for your initial appointment.
