• Licensed Vocational Nurse – provides prescribed medical treatments and medications under the direction of the RN.
• Nursing Assistant – assists with bedside care under the direction of the RN.
• Respiratory Therapist – administers respiratory treatments as prescribed by your physician to improve lung function.
• Physical Therapist – works with patients to improve physical strength, mobility and flexibility.
• Dietitian – monitors and educates patients requiring special diets.
• Case Manager – assists with post acute care needs, transfers to other facilities, monitors hospital stay, and communicates patient status and continued care needs to the insurance company.
• Social Worker – available to assist patients and families with emotional support and community resources.
• Chaplain – assists with the spiritual needs of the patient and family.
• Clinical Coordinator – available to patients receiving services of these programs:  Bloodless Medicine & Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology (women's cancer), Lactation Consultation, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Orthopedics, Wound/Skin Care and Enterostomal Therapy.
• Other Healthcare Professionals – provide treatments/tests ordered by your physician; personnel from the laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and/or cardiopulmonary (i.e., EKG or respiratory treatment) departments.

Other Personnel

• Your room is cleaned daily by a member of the housekeeping staff. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, tell your nurse and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.
• Volunteers contribute many hours of service to the hospital. They supplement the services of the hospital staff in many ways and can be identified by their uniforms and name badges.
• In addition, the San Ramon Regional Medical Center family includes many behind-the-scenes workers, such as food service workers, engineers, telephone operators, secretaries, accountants and others who contribute toward your well-being while you are here.
